Massage Program Admission Requirements

The admissions requirements are designed to ascertain whether or not you are ready to enter the program. You must be ready academically, physically, and financially, and you must be ready to commit the time and energy necessary to successfully complete the program. It is important that you are well-informed about the profession of massage therapy. You are encouraged to attend an Information Session, read Massage Therapy Journal or Massage magazine, and visit the website of the American Massage Therapy Association. You are also encouraged to make arrangements to observe classes at the Institute.

We encourage you to experiment with giving gentle massages to family and friends, and receive massage sessions from several massage therapists who practice in a variety of settings. You are encouraged to read this catalog completely and thoroughly, and think carefully about how the Institute’s philosophy and program content compare with your needs and preferences.
